Steps In Applying

  1. Find a Job — Browse the job listings page to find current openings.

    1. Take note of the position type (administrative, classified, certified, etc.) and the position so you can link it to your application.

    2. All current job openings close at 4:00 p.m. on the listed closing date.

  2. Complete Application  — Once you find the position, complete the Employment Application. You can download that here: GSCS Employment Application

  3. Submit Application — Once you've completed all the sections of the application:

    1. Print a copy of your application for your records

    2. Send a copy of your completed application to the Human Resources

Background Check Requirements

  1. CONSENT FORM - Complete the Investigation Questionnaire for a Child Care Position.

  2. EDUCATION VERIFICATION - Official transcripts in sealed envelopes for any credits and degrees claimed on Application for Employment.

  3. NATIONAL F.B.I. CRIMINAL RECORDS SEARCH - $45 money order payable to PSC (Personnel Security Consultants). GSCS will take your fingerprints and mail money order with your fingerprint card. GSCS will retain the F.B.I. records search results.

  4. STATE CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK - AZ DPS clearance Card is acceptable. Original Card will be viewed and copied. If none, a state records search will be conducted.

  5. LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT - $15.90 money order payable to the Navajo Nation for a 10-year tribal background check. Go to the Navajo Nation Police Department in Window Rock, on M, W, F, open to first 20 Applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Photo I.D. required. Phone (928) 871-7621. Submit the original Navajo background check to GSCS.

  6. NATIONAL SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY SEARCH - An online name search will be conducted.

  7. DRIVING RECORDS CHECK - $5 cash or money order payable to AZ Motor Vehicle Department for a 5 year certified Motor Vehicle Report. Available in Holbrook, Window Rock, Flagstaff, etc. Submit the certified MVR to GSCS.
